    Across history and tradition, the two words have often been used interchangeably. Within MERRIQUE’s cosmology, they’re related but distinct.

    A ritual is a process you move through, like grieving, releasing, or forgiving. It changes you from the inside, by walking you through something.

    Spell work actively calls something in, or directs energy toward a specific outcome — power invoked, a boundary claimed and sealed.

    Some MERRIQUE rituals cross into spellcraft. All spellcraft is ritual. Not all ritual is spellcraft.

  • Yes.

    No prior experience is required—only a willingness to engage with the work.Each ritual is structured to guide you step-by-step, while allowing you to move at your own pace and develop your own rhythm.

  • MERRIQUE rituals are not tied to any one religion. They draw from a range of ancient spiritual and ancestral practices, brought together into a cohesive system.

    You do not need to follow a specific belief system to engage with the work, only a willingness to participate.

  • Rituals vary, but most can be completed within 15–45 minutes. You are encouraged to move at your own pace and return to the work as needed.

  • Most rituals use simple, accessible items already within your environment.

    Where specific tools are suggested, alternatives are always provided.

    The focus is not on having everything perfect, but on showing up and engaging with the work.
